A box of possessions. A father with no memory.
A daughter with just one day to piece together the past.
When Sabrina Boggs stumbles upon a mysterious collection of her father’s belongings, her seemingly uneventful life suddenly alters and shifts.
In the single day she has to search for answers about the man she thought she knew, a man who can no longer remember his own story, Sabrina uncovers far bigger secrets than she could have imagined. And discovers that sometimes it’s the people closest to us that we know the least.
Inspiration For This Book
For years I’d been writing a collection of short stories, each story beginning with ‘The Woman Who… and this story began as a humorous story about the Woman who lost her marbles, an expression I took literally. However the more I thought about it, the more the story grew into a novel. Whose marbles are they? Why are they so important? What will finding them unlock in her? I spent a day with a glass sculptor learning how to makemarbles and got lost in a world about marbles which inspired the story of Sabrina and her father Fergus. This is one of my favourites.
